About Us

View of Elks Lodge 17 with city skyline in background.

Elks Lodge 17 has stood at 2475 W 26th Ave longer than Colorado has been a state. Charter Lodge 17 is one of the oldest Elks lodges in the country, and the building itself tells that story through every detail: hand-crafted stained glass windows, display cases lined with decades of memorabilia, and architecture that stops first-time visitors mid-stride.

The third-floor bar opens to a panoramic view of the Denver skyline that rivals any rooftop in the city. Guests who come for an Oktoberfest concert featuring Hazel Miller or a private banquet often say the same thing: they had no idea a place this beautiful was hiding on this block. The ballrooms and event spaces are meticulously maintained, and the hallways are clean enough that the history on the walls actually gets noticed.

This is a lodge that earns its 4.6-star rating the old-fashioned way. Members and guests show up, the staff takes care of them, and the building does the rest. Pool tables, a full bar, banquet capacity, and a century and a half of Denver pride all under one roof.

What We Offer

Elks Lodge 17 opens its doors for far more than membership meetings. The venue hosts ticketed concerts, themed seasonal events like Oktoberfest, and private functions ranging from corporate dinners to milestone celebrations. The third-floor ballroom with its city views is the crown jewel, available for rental with full bar service included.

The lodge also maintains an active social calendar for members, including weekly gatherings, charitable fundraisers, and community programs consistent with the BPOE mission of charitable giving and civic engagement. Pool tables and lounge seating make it an easy spot for an informal evening out.

For those exploring membership, the lodge offers a straightforward path into a national fraternal organization with local roots that run deep. Membership connects you to Denver Elks programming, discounted event access, and a network of people who have been showing up for this community for generations.

"I attended an event here and was pleased to see how clean this lodge was. It was fun to see some of the history in the hall cases. The stained glass windows are beautiful! There is a bar on the 3rd floor and the bar tender was kind. The drink prices were very reasonable. I have never been to an Elk's lodge before."

Full bar clean bathrooms and amazing history inside.. very big place, they also have pool tables, bingo and other functions. Parking lot is pretty big and easy access. "It's a cool spot. Love the classic look upstairs and game room. I actually lived in the area most of my life and never had been inside. Jason and Emily the bartenders were great and hospitable. I would love to play there again."

"I really appreciate the help they provided with our tax return. I want to give a special shout-out to Mr. Mazyar Farsi speaking friend, the volunteer interpreter—he was incredibly helpful and patient with us! He did his best to support us, interpret clearly, and ensure we received the best service possible. I also want to mention the lawyer, who was very kind and wise, offering us thoughtful and helpful advice."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
